Czech Phycological Society

The Czech Phycological Society organizes an annual conference for its members and other experts and students interested in algae and cyanobacteria, usually in September. Research results are typically presented, but other contributions are also welcome, such as discussions of research problems, presentations of preliminary results, and introductions of new research projects and teams. Students, in particular, are strongly encouraged to present their thesis projects in the professional yet friendly and relaxed atmosphere of this small conference. In recent years, colleagues from various countries have attended our conference, for which the official language is English. The 67th conference of the Czech Phycological Society took place in Ústí nad Labem from September 23 to 25, 2026. The next conference will be held in Liberec in September 2027.
